Phil Marcoccia’s musical journey began at childhood, when he would compose songs in his head during his school’s recess. At the age of 8, he joined the school’s choir and enjoyed the next few years of a newfound musical expression in singing. At 17, Phil began learning to play the guitar, which allowed him to combine his instrumental skills with his voice and songwriting abilities. In the years that followed, Phil met other musicians, and they went on to form a garage rock band called Wolves of Radio, where Phil played as the lead vocalist, aiding in composing music and writing lyrics. Simultaneously, he also wrote folk music as a solo act. These various forms of music that Phil had experimented with over the years helped to emphasize his greatest skill – composing.
In an effort to combine two loves of his life together – video games and music – Phil began experimenting with instrumental ambient music which he uploaded to YouTube in 2021, under the channel name Everbloom Ambience, alongside video game backdrops. At the same time, he started learning how to compose orchestral music to emulate some of his favorite composers, like Howard Shore, Jeremy Soule, and James Horner. The blend of ambient and orchestral music has become a signature characteristic in Phil’s current sound.
In 2022, Phil released three singles (Wind and Spice, The Wisteria, and Essence) to all major streaming platforms, and began working on his debut album Celestia that’s set to release in 2025. During this time, he also collaborated with various indie developers on video games that range from first person shooters, to racing games, to JRPGs.
In 2023, Phil started a contract to work as Lead Composer and Sound Designer on a mobile game that is set to release in 2025.
In 2024, Phil joined the TESR Skywind team to compose music for the upcoming recreation of the classic open world RPG The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in the Skyrim: Special Edition engine.
